Breath our scents, walk our landscape, hear our melodic dialects, delight in our savory morsels, touch each rich texture, and the southern essence remains a mystery. The ethereal south, unfathomable to the five senses, lives in the heart. If you believe in magic, and can survive the devastating passions of an open heart, just possibly, you stand a chance of living a moment as a southerner. Most people aren't brave enough to be southerners, even the ones that are.

Listen, Life & Ladder are "L" Words

Listening to your thoughts, odd places in your life, building step by step upon a ladder. Theses are all thought subjects in yesterday's post by Jon, who's blog I have added to our links today.(over there --->)

I recommend his blog. It's the second English blog linked from here and just the perfect fit for our ensemble of links. I've meant to put up a link to Out the Back for quiet some time, but what with my life's drama of late here beneath the Carolina moon, I did well to get a post in on the few occasions since last year.

In any event; my hat's off to you Jon, for a really nice blog, styled close to my own preferences. Keep listening to your thoughts, after a while the places of occurrence won't seem so odd any more; just the usual flow. And, even though there is no top rung to that mystical ladder, it's worth each and every step you can make in the climb.

Kids, Knowledge, & Karma are "K" Words

You may have to read the blog intro at the top of this page and then the closing comment (what amounts to a quirky disclaimer) at the bottom of the page to really begin to get to the truth and beauty of today's post.

Is this kid gaining knowledge that his karma is really bad with pigeons? The three "K" words are all very beautiful words, representing three beautiful concepts. When combined, appearances aren't always representative of the long term, underlying truth.

One must stretch and learn. If something doesn't kill us, does it indeed make us stronger? Are there beauties to be found in distasteful lessons learned? Life is just full of questions; especially beneath the Carolina moon.

Just, Jury & Joy are "J" words for Today

Today's post is copying Clare's habit of daily recoginzing Three Beautiful Things.

Just watching the Devine Miss N napping on my new sofa, looking so relaxed and comfy.

Jury rigging two cheap shelf kits between the kitchen and dining areas in my new apartment, suprising myself with the great creative results.

Joy can be found in something as simple as a picnic lunch shared on the floor.

And to think that I found it all in one place, beneath the Carolina moon.

Integrity is an "I" Word (think about it)

Was yesterday's post somewhere between way off theme and political extreme? Yeah so what? If you read the opening header at the top of this blog and the closing footer at the bottom, you'll find that the post is "within mission" (a buzz phrase I hear kicked around these days). It may have been a disappointing post for those of you looking for me to return to inspiration and insight as a thrust after meandering off track with my fascination with Mustangs. You know what? Sometimes that’s the way life is.

I didn't ask the most arrogant, elitist, self-aggrandizing, female on the planet to announce her candicy for the next rung on the ladder of becoming queen of the world. I'm just responding, appropriately I feel, due to the simple minded stupidity of the people of the state of New York, to a threat to the U.S. of A. as we have known it. If more people join the state of New York, and get on the stupid bus in 2008, we won't have a country anymore.

Do some of you now understand why down here beneath the Carolina moon we refer to them as damnyankees? Yes; damnyankee is spelled as one word, and it is meant to be derogatory, and if the shoe fits wear it New York!

Has the integrity of this blog been compromised? I don’t feel so. Tomorrow we return to our regular programming already in progress. You may expect periodic interruptions throughout the 2007-2008 U.S. presidential election season, as our correspondent cannot sit idle while the world goes down the toilet. I think there is a degree of integrity in that.

Posted by Dread who is inspired by the Clintonista’s total lack of integrity, to campaign vigorously against every power grabbing, self promoting, scheme they produce. Now, you have a nice day.

Hillary is a "H" of a Word

It will only get worse from here on.
You first heard it here, beneath the Carolina moon.
