Breath our scents, walk our landscape, hear our melodic dialects, delight in our savory morsels, touch each rich texture, and the southern essence remains a mystery. The ethereal south, unfathomable to the five senses, lives in the heart. If you believe in magic, and can survive the devastating passions of an open heart, just possibly, you stand a chance of living a moment as a southerner. Most people aren't brave enough to be southerners, even the ones that are.

Gimme A Break From The Ugliness!

Cousin Stanley was so ugly as a child that we often needed a break from looking at him, but nothing like the break we need from the current political ugliness. The Democratic Party has fallen into the hands of the fringe lunitic element. Hence, their two top runners duking it out, are also the two least qualified people in the USA to be President. When you score the Obama/Clinton qualifications and add them together, you actully come up with a triple digit negative number.

On the Republican Party side, it became blatantly apparent that people are just fed completely up with ultra conservatism, and hard nosed, hard hearted policies. Hence, the most moderate and liberal candidate available; John McCain. Admittedly the man can sling an expletive and bark like a pit bull, but you can't even question his patriotism, while it's doubtful that either of the Dummocrat candidates even understand the meaning of the term.

You can't question McCains honesty either. Gads! The man shoots himself in the foot with his honesty almost every day. Like it or not, he tells you what he thinks and just how he sees it. B.H. Obama and H.R. Clinton? It's easier to count how many times in a day they nearly tell the truth, than it is to count their lies. Usually one hand will do.

I'm sick of politics. Politicians generally must live miserable lives. They sure make the rest of us miserable. It's been ugly. I'm tired of ugly. I'm putting a bag over the ugly, and voting for the lesser of the three evils. McCain may be a bit whacky, but who from the Nam generation got out without scars? At least he knows what America is meant to be, and he tells the truth. He also has a history of taking care of his troops, even when it meant laying his own life on the line. That's good enough for me, and a helluva site better than either of the uglies running against him.

I bet among the things John McCain is thankful for, is that he didn't have a cousin Barack or Hillary. Neither of them knows what it's like to put their life on the line for their country, but what do you want to bet they both already know what the inside of that bag looks like?

I thought he died, or went nuts... Oh, no. That was Carl Sagan and Al Gore. Actually, I liked both of them. Nadar...hmmm..didn't he get famous over a Chevy Corvair?

A vote for Nadar is one less vote for someone that can beat the greater of evils.
